One More Night - fingerstyle guitar arrangement

A great 80's song, "One More Night", by Phil Collins, arranged for solo fingerstyle guitar, check it out! The 80's continued the great pop song writing of the 70's (the finest decade in that regard)...

But with the rise of digital synths, sequencers and samplers a trend started where more and more was left to the "machine", there was less real writing, and the results are ultimately all over today's pop music. Not that there aren't great songwriters and performers out there, it's just that mostly they're not mainstream. But I rant. Phil Collins definitely made the best use of the new tools making the songs come first whereas the tools were just tools.

"One More Night" is the first single in the United States and second in the UK from Phil Collins' third album, the Diamond certified No Jacket Required. "One More Night" was Phil Collins' second US number-one single, following "Against All Odds", and was his fourth single to reach the top ten in the UK, peaking at number four on the singles chart. It was also his first number one on the U.S. Adult contemporary chart. The soft rock ballad remained for 2 weeks at the top in the U.S. in early 1985, until it was surpassed by "We Are the World" on April 13, 1985.
