Welcome!

Comins Ibanez In recent years, performing and arranging for solo guitar has become the main focus of my work as a guitarist. The main purpose, therefore, of this website is to provide you with links to my many video performances on my YouTube channel, my instructional DVDs and downloadable lessons, and other lessons currently available with Hal Leonard Publishing as well as Mike's Master Classes. The vast majority of these lessons are sharply focused on arranging for solo guitar with my “flagship” downloadable video lessons “How To Arrange Any Song For Solo Guitar” and "An Introduction to Fingerstyle Guitar and Solo Guitar Arranging" as well as almost 200 additional full length song-specific arrangement lessons. For in-depth info click on the “Videos & Guitar Lessons” tab above.

Having said that, you'll still find plenty information and links to my work with prog-rock band THEO, fusion band FourFusion, the The Gwenyth Hayes Band, the Brad McNett duo, trio and quartet as well as many additional projects, recordings and collaborations I’m involved with. There are links to my performance schedule, booking information (look at the bottom right of the page) and, of course, info on music sales, CDs as well as downloads – please just look through the various tabs and buttons. Blog style posts and news updates will be posted in the modules below. Feel free to email me jake.reichbart@gmail.com with any questions or requests.

Any Way You Want It - Journey

Any Way You Want It - Journey - Fingerstyle Acoustic Guitar

Welcome to my 484th solo guitar video on YouTube, "Any Way You Want It" by Journey! I'm actually spending a fair amount of time working on Aja by Steely Dan which has a whole lot of chords so while that's happening here is something with just 4 chords... ;-) And actually, paying tribute to one of my childhood heroes, Neal Schon. Please "like", comment, share and subscribe so I can continue to post these weekly arrangements. Thank you :-)

As - Stevie Wonder - fingerstyle acoustic guitar

Welcome to my 482nd solo guitar video on YouTube, "As" by Stevie Wonder! With less than 20 solo guitar arrangements leading up to the 500 mark, it was inevitable that I would do at least one more Stevie Wonder. This one is a bit unusual in that it is among a handful of videos of mine that are "reloads", which is to say, I have performed and posted the previously on YouTube but I was so dissatisfied with the previous version that I felt I had to do a new one. I'm not all that crazy about this one either but I think at least it is a big improvement, lol!

Brazil - Aquarela do Brasil - fingerstyle guitar

Brazil - Aquarela do Brasil - fingerstyle guitar

Welcome to my 476th solo guitar video on YouTube, Brazil! The decision to play this was pretty random as I am on a two-song-long streak of “country“ songs, LOL, last week Spain, this week this. Who knows what next week will bring… It’s also an opportunity to feature some of my amplifiers. The absurd thing is that I don’t even use any of these anymore. My current main amplifiers are a Boss Katana 100, as well as two Acoustic amplifiers an AG60 and an AG30, plus a pair of powered speakers to throw more sound if and when needed. In addition I have a pair of Crate Limo 50W and a nice Peavey Bandit 65 that is permanently hooked up to my Fender Rhodes piano, and which sounds great! I also have several speaker cabinets off to the side. Time to liquidate some of these?

Spain, Chick Corea, solo jazz guitar

Spain, Chick Corea, solo jazz guitar

Welcome to my 475th solo guitar video on YouTube, Spain, by Chick Corea. I am really conflicted about this “arrangement“. There used to be a time when I put a lot of effort into creating sophisticated arrangements, each with its own unique voicings, fingerings and passages, sometimes reflecting their original, other times changing it completely but whatever the case, there was real time and effort involved.

Theme from I Dream of Jeannie, solo jazz guitar

Welcome to my 474th solo fingerstyle guitar arrangement video on YouTube, the theme from "I Dream of Jeannie" composed by Hugo Montenegro. Although you may think of this as just a ditty, this is a perfect jazz style composition and form, ripe for all kinds of improv...

From Me To You, The Beatles

"From Me to You" is a song by the English rock band the Beatles that was released in April 1963 as their third single. It was written by Paul McCartney and John Lennon. The song was the Beatles' first number 1 hit on what became the official UK singles chart but the second, after "Please Please Me", on most of the other singles charts published in the UK. "From Me to You" failed to make an impact in the United States at the time of its initial release. Instead, a 1963 cover version released by Del Shannon resulted in the song becoming the first Lennon–McCartney tune to enter the US pop charts.
